On the afternoon of August 7, the Vietnam Investment Promotion Seminar was held in Taipei, Taiwan, China. Leaders of the Foreign Investment Bureau of the Ministry of Planning and Investment of Vietnam and representatives from five provinces and cities in Viet Nam and 30 industrial real estate companies attended the meeting.
At the meeting, leaders of Bao Minh Industrial Park Infrastructure Investment Joint Stock Company introduced the cooperation potential, advantages and development opportunities, and called on Taiwanese businessmen to invest in Hai Long Industrial Park in Thai Binh Economic Zone. Hai Long Industrial Park covers an area of nearly 300 hectares, with a superior geographical location, convenient road and water transportation, and easy and fast logistics activities, domestic and international trade. Bao Minh invested more than VND 2.2 trillion to build a synchronous and modern industrial park technical infrastructure system covering secondary projects. Investing in Hai Long Industrial Park will enjoy many attractive preferential and support policies according to national and local regulations on economic zones and industrial parks and the actual support mechanism for investors’ infrastructure.

Through direct communication at the conference, 240 Taiwanese businessmen were provided with official information on legal systems, administrative procedures and policies on finance, taxation, land, investment, etc., and clearly saw the overall situation of Vietnam’s business and investment environment. Leading Taiwanese companies highly appreciated and expressed interest in studying and looking for investment opportunities in Hai Long Industrial Park, as it is an investment destination for a green industrial park with convenient geographical location and transportation, well-planned, and clean development-oriented vitality.
According to statistics from the Foreign Investment Department of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, Taiwan is currently Vietnam’s fourth largest investment partner and fifth largest trading partner, with an outbound direct investment of more than US$37 billion, which is more than 1.5 times the total outbound direct investment of the European Union. Currently, Taiwanese businessmen are very interested in the trend of continuing to expand investment and business cooperation in Vietnam.
